Ras Manikya (Radical Man) Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine that can be used to treat a wide range of ailments caused by excess vata and kapha in the body. Treatment of skin conditions, coughs, and respiratory illnesses can all benefit from this combination. Rasa and Manikya are fictitious ingredients in the drug’s name. For its likeness to rubies, this drug was given this name.

The Ras Manikya Shuddha Haratala powder, heated between two Abharaka Patras, is used to make Ras (mica sheets). Orpiment, the bright orange-yellow sulphide of arsenic with the formula As2S3, is what Haratala is. Volcanic fumaroles, hydrothermal veins, and hot springs contain Haratal. Medicinal preparations employ it after sufficient purification. It restores equilibrium to an overly Vata- and Kapha-heavy body.

The vitiation of Vata and Kapha is relieved, as is the fever that results from it.
